The Wondrous Pontification of Happiness

(and there’s you thinking I couldn’t use big words and yes I do know what they mean before you ask)

Recently I seem to be coming to some very life-altering epiphanies, not least about Dan and I (click here for more on that story).  But the other most important conclusion I have come to is that my life is not that interesting and I’m actually going to try and do something about it.  For whatever reason (I’m guessing the medication has a lot to do with it) I feel like after 9 years of being under the dark cloud of depression I am starting to see the rays of light come through…which is a pretty outrageous statement for me to make believe you me.

3 things I’ll be doing this year which I have never experienced before:

1.  Doing a sponsored half-marathon…I don’t do walking but it is for charity and I have always wanted to be part of a big event such as this.

2.  Going to a festival.  You may be shocked to read that statement considering I love my jewellery and nails so much but it has to be done at least once in your life so Nate and I decided to take the plunge.

3.  Seeing a psychic because, well, you never know what the future holds but a heads up might help.

These three things appear on my bucket list but I hold that dear so I’ll make a deal.  One bucket list item for a secret of yours….start your confession spilling engines people because this is one ride you won’t want to miss!  Just head to my confessional and follow the instructions…have fun.

Hi I just found your blog through 20SB. I like the fairytale-esq themes you have running.

I’m glad to see that you are beginning to see the light through the clouds – Your comments look like something I may have written two years ago. So I can appreciate how big these changes you are proposing must feel. When I decided to act I really went for it – and haven’t looked back. I took three months out to travel alittle, then starting all manner of things like endurance treks, climbing, mountain biking etc. I feel so much better for it. I hope you find something that will reinvigorate you!

I’m glad I’m seeing through it all as well – it’s exhausting and I often wondered if I’d ever get out of it. I too have decided to go travelling – this time next year I’m going to travel around South East Asia for four weeks but planning some nice little thigns in the meantime. You’ve got to start somewhere right?

I’m training for a marathon right now! I love it. Makes me feel good about myself. Plus, I love running!

Cheryl – don’t be silly, it’s a walking half marathon lol. I’m rubbish with stamina though so it’s going to be very interesting :-) x

That’s true – Starting can be the hardest part, so once you’re off and running (or walking in your case! :) tings will start to happen.

I hope you enjoy your month in South East Asia, I bet that will be amazing.
