Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you the the uber popular Jen the Secret Keeper from Confessions of a Secret Keeper!  As I’m sure you are aware by now (if you’re not why not?  Catch up, I’ll give you time…..back?), I haven’t had the best of weeks and am currently soooo busy unpacking my crap treasured possessions, I thought that instead of neglecting you, my delicious readers, I would ask a blogging goddess if she would praise my page with her words.  I’ll be back on Monday but for now, sit back, relax and enjoy the delectable Jen the Secret Keeper…

Hey everyone over here, I feel somewhat privileged to be Miss Serena’s first guest poster and I absolutely love this new fancy theme!!  Quick introductions…I’m Jen (TSK = the secret keeper) from Confessions of a Secret Keeper and I’m absolutely delighted to make your acquaintance (but I don’t talk like that in real life).

Given that Serena is going through a particularly rough time at the moment I was going to do a thoughtful and kind of reflective post about relationships…the good, the bad and the particularly ugly!  HOLD THOSE HORSES I tell thee!!  Oh my god did something definitely post-worthy arrive in my inbox this morning!!??  It definitely did!

Now, what I am about to show you is against everything in my better judgement because it really will give Britain a bad name (not only do we have swine fever - that’s what I’ve decided to name the hysteria surrounding swine flu…good name, yeah?  But we also have the following…)

Missy Quinn – What Daddy’s little girl wants Daddy’s little girl gets

Missy is 16 and her boyfriend is 17.  Shortly before turning 16 she told her parents she wanted to get married and she wanted the fairytale wedding she’d always dreamt of.  The wedding would cost £200,000 (at the time of the wedding the exchange rate would’ve made that nearly $400,000).  I’ll break it down for you…

Dress – £16,000 ($30,000) – This was studded with Swarovski crystals, and with a 10ft wide train, was so heavy that it took ten guests to help her out of the Rolls-Royce Phantom that brought her to the church.

Bouquet – £500 ($900) – Made of crystal

Ok, so you’re probably thinking “why’s she going on about this?  It’s not such a big deal”.  Well, I’ll ease you in gently by telling you that Missy aspires to be a glamour model (I agree, nothing wrong with that).  Point 2, they paid £200,000 for a wedding….yet they live in a trailer park.  Trailer parks aren’t really a thing we have in England, they are seriously rare – I’ve only ever seen one!!
